COLLABORATES ON FINAL STUDY PROJECTS AND DOCTORAL WORKS
COLLABORATION IN FINAL DEGREE PROJECTS AND DOCTORAL THESES
Ihobe, the Public Environmental Management Agency of the Basque Government, announces a new service aimed at companies with a registered office or an activity centre in the Basque Autonomous Community. This service is designed to facilitate connections with young talent who wish to develop their bachelor’s or master’s final projects in a real environment, within the field of circular economy and environmental assessment.
Service Objective
The main objective of this service is to support companies in incorporating students into their projects, providing technical assistance and guidance in two main areas:
- Student–Company Connection: Facilitating companies in hosting students so they can develop their bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral projects in a real environment. This approach allows companies to benefit from academic innovation and knowledge, while students gain practical experience and apply their learning to real projects.
- Personalised Tutoring: Providing tailored and punctual tutoring to students collaborating with companies, offering technical assistance and guidance on critical aspects such as circularity assessment methodologies, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), carbon footprint calculation, and the use of specialised software such as Simapro, OpenLCA and the Climate & Circularity Calculator (3C).
TARGET AUDIENCE OF THE SERVICE
This service is aimed at companies with a registered office or at least one activity centre located in the Basque Autonomous Community that wish to participate in circular economy and environmental assessment projects by hosting students for the development of academic work.
Basque Circular HUB will provide companies with a list of students interested in collaborating on circular economy and environmental assessment projects. Companies will be able to select the profiles that best fit their needs and, once mutual interest is confirmed, Basque Circular HUB will facilitate initial contact and coordination.
TUTORING FOR STUDENTS IN COMPANY PROJECTS
Students will receive personalised tutoring, including an initial meeting to review project data and analyse the strategic and methodological approach. Up to 10 hours of individual tutoring per project will be offered, focused on resolving technical questions and using specialised software.
